What is a Tip?
Definition of a TIP: My qualified business TIP is a company or person who is interested in a a specific service or product and is expecting a call from a LeTip member.
In LeTip there are 3 types of TIPs.
Inside Tips:
Inside tips are completed upon payment of an invoice or money/goods changes hands.
Loretta goes to Billy’s hardware store and purchases some lawn and garden supplies. She pays for the items at the cash register of Billy’s store. Both individuals are members of the same LeTip chapter. The transaction has been completed and Loretta is able to tip Billy.
Cindy, the boat dealer, would like to purchase a new spa from George, the spa distributor. Both individuals are members of the same LeTip chapter. Cindy talks with George about purchasing a spa (not a tip). Three weeks after their initial conversation George installs a new spa at Cindy’s home. Cindy receives an invoice for the spa and pays George for his services (This is a Tip now.)
Outside Tips:
Outside tips allows a member to make warm call to an individual who is not a member of LeTip.
Bart, a member of LeTip, is having lunch with Zach, a business associate. Zach is interested in finding a dentist for his family. Bart refers Zach to Amber, the dentist in Bart’s LeTip chapter. Bart gives Zach Amber’s business card and tells Zach he will have Amber call him. Because Zach is prepared for a call, Amber will be contacting Zach with a warm call. Bart has set the groundwork for Amber. Bart has an outside tip for Amber.
Interchapter Tips:
Interchapter tips are leads or business conducted between members of two separate LeTip chapters.
Bobby Jo needs cabinets for her new office. Her LeTip chapter does not have any one to perform this service. However, another LeTip chapter in the area has a cabinetmaker as a member. Bobby Jo contacts that individual and her cabinets are made and installed in her new office. She has an inter-chapter tip for the cabinetmaker.
Her partner Bobby Sue loves the new cabinet in Bobby Jo’s office and wants some in her new office. Bobby Jo gives Bobby Sue the cabinetmakers card. Similar to the outside tip above, the groundwork has been set for the cabinetmaker. Therefore, Bobby Jo gives an inter-chapter tip to the cabinetmaker for Bobby Sue’s cabinets.
